Book Design

Brief: Design and produce a printed book based on a banned book. Connect it’s message to a contemporary issue.

Solution: Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet, was banned for its reference to homosexual tendencies between Romeo and Mercutio. In this edition, Juliet is changed to Juilen to bring attention to the struggles in the LGBTQ community that continue centuries later. The hope is that it will bring lead to greater compassion and acceptance of diversity.
